I am looking for a scope with a 50mm objective for hunting inside of 400 yards with a duplex style reticle. Illuminated would be a bonus. Any suggestions? Also I don’t mind buying used if it has a lifetime warranty. Good glass that brings in a lot of light is the main goal.

Ya Burris is near the top just with a regular reticle I don’t think I could get used to all the notches.

I’d go for the Burris, assuming their illumination is well done. Bad illumination is worse than no illumination at all.

I’d go for the Burris, assuming their illumination is well done. Bad illumination is worse than no illumination at all. I have a Fullfield II E1 3-9x40 that is illuminated. I think it has 9 levels. I've used it in just about every single hour of the day, the illumination is pretty good. The reticle is a touch busy but not bad and I got used to it pretty quickly. It's been a good scope and was under $300 new.

Don't buy any optics made in Communist China (PRC). You simply cannot trust the quality of materials, assembly, or lens coatings.

I’d lean towards the Burris or look for a Leupold.
