I cooked down some lamb shanks in pasta sauce yesterday with mushrooms and served it over a ribbon pasta.

Looks good, we have been eating on some deer shanks we cooked and making various dishes from. Think going to thaw out some that is already cooked and use some of the broth from it and grind meat in a pot of chili tonight with the burger.

Mutton and lamb have a totally different taste, mutton has a very strong taste that I can’t describe, on the other hand lamb is similar to prime rib meat, very delicate tasting, you really should try lamb. That’s my 2 cents for the day

Are they not both sheep? He wasn’t comparing the two, though saying he doesn’t care for it compared to other meats.

I'm in!! Love lamb chops done correctly.
I know it's not lamb chops but shanks cooked down are excellent too.
