 Icy reception at the bird bath

When I saw how much the mrs was spending on bird $eed I decided the tree rats had had enough. Besides destroying the feeder$ and chewing up the wire$ on some trailer$. grrrr $$$ So this morning I step outside again and one is hanging on a feeder and one is sitting in the birdbath. Well Mr. .17 Remington seperated the one in the birdbath from his insides and the other got away in great big hurry. That was the third one today with the .17 Rem so the sound isn't scaring them off of their $$ breakfast. I've already got over 20 notches in the stock on the air rifle since I decided to thin them out.
