Bartlein is making carbon wrapped barrels now. I looked just yesterday, and all Bugholes had were 24" and 26". I want a 16", guess it will have to be ordered.
Chassis, you'll be heavier than a carbon fiber stock. Which I know is not your jam.

I’d go with Bartlein too. Idk Jason the KRG XRay is only 3 pounds. Most of the manners stocks I see are around 5 pounds. Could even step up to the KRG Wiskey 3 and it’s still only 3.8 pounds.

Manners T4 Elite. 2.2 pounds. Best stock I’ve ever sold. https://mannersstocks.com/stock-technical-specifications/

I have a proof research full stainless which is what they turn down and wrap with carbon fiber. It is cut rifling. Either I’m not doing my part or it’s not up to par with Obermyer. Maybe it’s me.

Proof Research hands down if budget is no option. They have perfected laying up the carbon fiber and have a proprietary resin that is the differentiating factor. My buddy Cole is the head smith there and he’s shown me bits and pieces of what makes proof the very best. Xlr magnesium is about as light as you can get chassis wise it’s pretty legit my shooting buddy has one. FYI he built this 300 blk and now I have it. it’s 10 shots in a dime for subs with little effort.

Action and barrel quality is much contested, but I have a Christensen MPR chassis and it is a work of art for a hunting rifle. Long flat bottom carbon fiber rail, right side folding stock with plenty of adjustment. I really like it.

You can’t talk light and talk chassis. This is about the lightest chassis I’ve ran across: https://mdttac.com/us_en/lss-chassis-system.html and after it’s rigged you’re slightly heavier than a carbon stock from Manners or McSwirly. If light is your goal the Manners UC is tough to beat but you won’t get a proof cf to fit in it. I think 2B is the largest. I’ve got one CF barrel and my initial impression is they are way over rated. They heat up fast, you get a lot of mirage off of them and they are slower to cool, alright for hunting but that’s the only place I see as a good use. I’ll have more because I’ve got a stock inlet for them but I bet future stocks will be inlet for #4 for short barrels and bigger depending on finish length. Example - I’ve got a Tuebor action, manners mcs-t, Hawkins bdl bottom metal, 16.5” proof sendero barrel, trigger tech, razor lht and Nomad attached it all weighs 9.5 pounds.

I know a lot of people have strong feelings about Christensen Arms on here, but I have one factory gun and one build done on their MPR chassis. I like the chassis itself a LOT and its pretty light

If you want the absolute lightest chassis possible you have to go with a PorkSword from Black Collar Arms. This is what my 16 inch 243 is going in. I believe the main part of the chassis is 13 ounces. https://blackcollararms.com/product/pork-sword/
