For those of you who frequent the TCM channel, be on the lookout for this short film made in 1940 that highlights the talents of the late Howard Hill, perhaps one of the best bow hunters who has ever lived. While I'm not a bow hunter, what this guy could do with a long bow is nothing short of amazing. The film is rather cheesy at times, but the skills that Hill carried are demonstrated quite well. I couldn't find a schedule for the film on the website, so I guess you'll just have to luck out in order to catch it.

There are several short films available on YouTube that demonstrate his skills with a long bow. They too are rather cheesy at times. Just search under the name "Howard Hill".

Howard was a great shot, but man his videos are cheesy. Got to give the stunt man that wrestled the snake and then held him for the kill shot a lot of credit on this one. roflmao

To be sure of hitting the target, shoot first and call whatever you hit the target.

I can remember that he occasionally had a program on on Sat. or Sunday showing off his skills. He and bill Negley are two of the best archers of all time.
