Where in the wild world of sports have you found quail? I was just able to start back and have been skunked all year in 2 states (OK, TX) all public land. I’m interested in getting in on a lease for next year.

Chet, she’s working out ok. It took about 1/2 dozen times on the ground to start handling for me. She’s finally get the hang of staying in walking range, though sometimes still likes to extend her range. Pretty much like any other pointer I’ve had, they’ll hunt as far out as you let them.

Its difficult for a front running pup to run too big for me as long as they are between ten and two,not passing any birds.

For a gun dog I hunt, I will take 9-3 as long as the dog is seeking the wind. Just don’t let me pass you unless your on birds, cue off of where I go, adjust rage to the cover and run it with purpose and my whistle will stay in my pocket.

Like to keep them in sight. Just to be able to make corrections on chasing fur. I’ve had contacts with deer and hogs recently.

Sounds like my kinda dog. The old saying is you can always pull them in but you can't put that run in 'em.

Twisted around a tree. We called them saplings when I was growing up.
