IDK but sure is a cool gun...
I am still looking for the perfect apron, one with reinforced knee areas would be perfect.

Trapdoor rifles really haven’t gone up in value much over the years. That rifle has sanded wood and suffered from improper storage. so It’s value is for shooting. As long as the bore is very good to excellent I’d say $400-$550. I’d consider $400 a good deal. If the bore is fair or poor then I wouldn’t pay more than $400.

Did some research myself and in Poor condition there $250-500 is what I've found. Deal may happen in the $300.00 range. I may have a gunsmith check it out and shoot it. I think it would be a hoot. If shot it would not be with modern ammo.

The Remington 45-70 405g Green and Yellow box ammo is loaded down specifically for trapdoor Springfields.

I think that’s a fair price among friends especially considering the condition.

My parents used to have one of those Spanish-American War pieces hanging over their fireplace. I always wondered what it would have been like to march long distances and fight with one of those. The weight and lack of balance must have sucked!
