Next year (end of June 2022) is the bride and my 10 year anniversary. She has hinted at going to a nice beach, but she isn't big on large crowds (I'm with her on that). In the past we've just gone down to Port Aransas. We like Port Aransas for a fairly close and cheapish vacation, but I think she's wanting a better trip this go around.
We are just now starting to look at places, but haven't made a lot of headway yet. We aren't made of gold, but we're far enough out now that we can plan the budget out better. We would probably like to stay in the States, but that's not a 100% definite. I've been to Hawaii in the past but she hasn't. It was beautiful and I loved it. From what I can remember, a couple of the beaches we went to seemed super busy and crowded, so she wouldn't be a big fan (a least of those particular ones). I'm sure there's plenty of beaches there where we could get away from the crowds, but my Google-fu tends to lead me down 1000 different paths HA!
Anyone have any recommendations on a nice beach but without the crowd? The less people the better preferably. Driving or flying, either is fine. She IS scared of Mexico, so that MAY be out of the question.

Grand Cayman if open. Stay at condo if you want quiet. Westin if you want a resort.
Hawaii is to far for me.

Padre Island National Seashore, you can go for miles and not see a soul. Honestly, didn't even think about that. A friend of mine shark fishes down there. I'll definitely pitch it to her, but she may want a little more white sand / blue water feel, unless it's just completely different than Port A. It's not all that far from it.

Anniversary trip roughing It out there in June would be miserable. You could do that any time for next to nothing. I say puerta azul in roatan.

Last time we were at Bolivar, the beach was quite deserted. Nice beach.

A nude beach during Winter should be pretty crowd free.
Seriously though, what's the appetite for international? I know you mentioned that she is not down with Mexico but I was in Cabo San Lucas this Summer and I'd say they were going to extreme measures to keep things clean and make sure tourists felt comfortable. I was also in Jamaica in November and can say the same. The takeaway is that tourist areas need people and that won't happen if they don't feel safe.

It’s a nice place due to the lack of people Lot of stuff in this area and beautiful beaches and water: If you camp Big Lagoon SP is right close to Perdido Key Bridge. Johnson Beach (to the east) very few people. Your central to Dauphin Island, Fort Morgan, Orange Beach, Gulf Shore, Gulf Shores SP with nice cabins, or the new four star GSSP lodge near the fishing pier (under repair). Pensacola Beach, Destin, (tourist traps) are nice but crowded and traffic heavy. Fort Pickens National Sea Shore Federal Park also has several camp site for primitive, to trailer, & RV sites and crowds are generally light. You do have the easy access to Bay side or the Gulf side and the Pensacola Pass. GL and Happy Anniversary

Maybe it’s perdido key. Might be orange beach.
But the beach over the bridge, just east of Orange Beach is quiet.

They call that Alabama point I believe. And you are right, not ever very crowded. Maybe because of the board walk distance.

I've looked at Cabo San Lucas and want to go. I think she just heard something somewhere on how "bad Mexico is" and is scared of it. As for Jamaica, we stopped there on a cruise and I wasn't a fan. Maybe it was just the area we stopped at, but we took a bus a pretty good ways from the ship for some ziplining. Talk about a sketchy bus ride lol. One dude on a motorcycle had fallen down and layed in the middle of the street for as long as we could see him. Not a single person stopped or even slowed down to help him. They just kept zooming around him and haulin arse. Grand Cayman Islands was nice. I'll have a look there as well.

I had already heard Destin was pretty busy, so we nixed that one off our list already.

Sorry, I wasn't necessarily suggesting Cabo or Jamaica. I will simply highlighting that I've recently been to both and the were going to significant lengths to ensure the safety and comfort of guests. Without guests they have nothing. They have more cleaning than here in the US were my experiences.

My brother posted some FB pics of Waikiki in June when he was there, beach was deserted. Might be different now I don't know, you need negative covid test to enter Hawaii. I bet that cuts back on crowds.
