I go to concerts, bars, restaurants, the gym, big box stores, everywhere I did before all this crap, don’t wear a mask, don’t obsessively wash my hands or social distance, and have not got the flu from china. I wear a mask at work, due to we’re told to. I’m around infected people all the time at work and I’m sure in public. My wife is in the medical field and around infected people all the time as well. My daughter has been in school this whole time and around kids that have it. None of us have got it.
Who else still lives their life, pre-virus style, and hasn’t got it?

Either I had it last Jan/Feb or haven’t gotten it. No real change in behavior. No mask. No social distancing. Just going on with my life....

I had something very similar to covid last January. So who knows whether I've had it or not.

I've never changed anything. I've never missed a day of work. The only time I slip a mask on is when around suits at work because it's company policy or when I'm walking into a restaurant inside the dfw bubble. I've been turned around a few times and I don't like putting off lunch.

It has already been established some people can have it and never manifest any symptoms, even though they can spread it to others. Maybe also there are some people who won't ever get it.

We weren't being totally careful and got it. I would rather not had caught it.

Like many I thought I did as well. It was no fun. When I gave blood in October it didn't test positive for antibodies. I did end up actually getting covid a couple of weeks ago. Or maybe I caught it again. Who knows.

Yeah the antibody test is good for 60 or 90 days can't remember.

I don't go out as much as I once did. Still wear a mask when necessary. Feel as healthy as ever.

Think I had it last November before they knew what it was. Had a Dr and his PA arguing what I had I was very sick for almost 5 weeks. Recovered fine and live life normal. Same here go everywhere with no mask unless store employee tells me to put one on. Still don’t wipe shopping cart down , never did.

I was down in the dumps, not terrible, but just didn't have the energy that I usually do in November. The wife had some weird symptoms that would come and go in December. We don't know what to attribute it to, but we just kept moving never got to the point were we felt that we needed medical attention. We never missed a beat, we are always out and about, and we don't live in fear.

I think a good amount of people have had covid, they just never got sick to the point they would need medical attention, and have been documented. They/we may be the lucky ones.

It’s truly sad to see 100% of everyone, everywhere I go wearing a mask. Grocery store. School. Inside or out. It’s already become normal living to them. Makes me think, how long have the people of China been wearing masks now? A few years at least. Go figure.

Only wear a mask when stores require it. Don't have a real big social life so that didn't change much. I'd rather be out in the woods with the wife and 2 young boys than in an over crowded concert any day of the week. Probably the biggest thing that changed for me was not going out to eat as much. Probably a good thing as it saves us a ton of money. It wasn't uncommon to eat out for lunch 5 days a week and dinner for the 4 of us 3-5 days out of the week. Still no covid in our house.

I have not gotten it. But I usually have a few beers in the evening. The alcohol seems to be killing the rona.

The only thing I have changed was the visits to the gym. I used the Dyess rec center gym, and the restrictions became a pain in the butt.

When I got back from the Grand Caymans in either October or November of 2019 (right before China Virus started) I got some type of Crud with similar symptoms that made me feel puny for about three weeks, could not shake the coughing for about two more months.
Since then no problems.

I do go out a lot without a mask and only wear one if it is required by the business I need to go in.
I still get a kick out of seeing these goofy azz people driving in their car by themselves with a mask on

Not much has changed here. I wear a mask when required and go on about my business. Did watch 2 close family friends die of it yet I keep hearing it’s a hoax. People that think it’s a hoax are just flat stupid, makes old and unhealthy folks sick and the rest are just fine.

I’ve taken very few precautions. Only wear a mask where required and barely use hand sanitizer anymore and have yet to get it. I’ve continued to work and do everything as I did before the pandemic. I’m sure I’ll get it sooner or later and I’m sure I’ll either survive or die from it when I do.

I have lived my life as much as possible, traveled, eaten out even gone to the dreaded movie theater. Home gym so don’t go to a commercial gym.

My whole fam tested positive late december. We are fine, loss of taste/smell being the biggest issues.

We “think” our daughter brought it home from a baylor football game, and gave it to the rest of us. No way to prove that.

New studies now show surface transmission is not as bad as they originally thought. You can keep washing your hands, it will help lower the risk of catching the flu, but covid not so much.

Even at 65 I have always done some kind of exercise most days a week. I took it even more seriously last year when Covid hit. I did my mileage on the track yesterday in barely sprinkling rain. However, the night before we had some family over that personally knew ten people that died from this hoax of a virus. That renewed a just about gone concern I had over this crap.

I've read several reports that indicated that masks do more harm than good. One said it is because when you inhale, if you inhale virus germs you keep the germs in the mask and can get a greater viral load. Is that straight up BS?? Hey Doc Buckeye....I guess that question is for you.

Other than that I go to stores less. Masks give me a headache every time, which makes my Tinnitus worse, so I won't wear one unless necessary. I didn't like restaurants before Covid, so no issues there for me.

My sister has been sick since Sunday night/monday, and and finally went to the Dr today she felt so bad, did a rapid covid test,Negative ,tested positive for Flu type B today, and seeing as we had lunch with her and her family last week-end probably it.

Been 90% maskless here since the beginning. Only in small confined indoor public spaces where 6' is impossible just out of caution. Family of 5. We go to restaurants, bars on occasion, basically live our life. No one has got it. Only people I know who have gotten it are ardent mask wearers, some even anytime outside of their own homes.

One key is boosting your immune system with Vitamin D, C, zinc, and others, which we do daily. Odd how that's never mentioned by the "experts", but mask wearing is the save-all. Ask CA how that's working out.

To the ones that say I’ve already gotten it, I donate blood every 3 months and not once have I been shown to be positive for antibodies. So either I haven’t gotten it or the antibody blood tests don’t work.
I’ve also been tested 4 times in the last 6 months (due to work) and it’s always been negative.

My stepson went to his dad's and got it mid December for the idiot. His stepson was sick and didn't tell anybody until my son started getting bad symptoms. He finally let us know he had it when we were in line to get tested. My stepson tested positive. He was like a zombie at times and hacking up a lung for a while. He still has a slight cough right now.



I understand how some people want to be perceived as macho or edgy, or even treat it as a conspiracy brain wash theory, but wearing a mask is such a small and simple thing to do. Many of us are relatively young and healthy, but it doesn't mean everyone around is. It boggles my mind how some people perceive not wearing a mask as a badge of honor.

Whatever you do is your own buisiness until your behavior has an effect on others that are vulnerable. It is a unnecessary risk for people to not wear a mask. "Cuz i don't wanna" or "ain't got it yet" and "you ain't gonna die from it" are poor excuses to put people at risk.

I don't do anything different when I am away from home. There have been a couple of places that have "required" a mask, so I stay away from them if I can. Home most of the time.

100% accurate. I see a Cardiologist, Liver Specialist and Oncologist pretty regularly and they all say mask are a joke. Like spraying a water hose through a chain-link fence.

I personally know of couples (notice the plurality) who slept in the same bed while one was covid active and the mate never got it. I know of another couple whose daughter came down with it and they all quarantined together in the same living space. The couple tested negative afterwards and then both came down with it more than thirty days later.

This is a long shot but something I've suspected may possibly be true. When I went into the ARMY I had to go through the shot line, when I went overseas I had to get another series of shots. My wife is an AIRFORCE brat and went through the same thing every time her dad was re-stationed. Both of us came down with something about the first of last year but seemed no more than just the flu and we went about our business ever since. She's had five people in her department (She's a nurse at the VA) come down with COVID, two have passed away. My favorite mechanic just passed away around Chritmas with COVID, 42 years old and seemed to be healthy other than a little over weight, the two that passed at the VA were overweight. None of these folks were Veterans or came from military families which makes me wonder if all the crap they shot us with while we were in has anything to do with it.

I pretty much wear a mask now because my wife told me I look better that way.

The mask doesn't act as a cure or elimiates the possibility, it is a part multiple things that will help reduce your chances of getting it and those around you.

I think all of those shots in the past do have something to do with survival rates. I our group of men that served in my Unit in Vietnam, all that have had the virus, one has been hospitalized. Like the flu shot, it wonlt stop the flu, but it helps to mitigate the problems and makes the flu weaker.

The objective evidence shows the efficacy of wearing masks. All the blah, blah, blah otherwise is just misinformation and/or misdirection. Of course they don’t 100% PREVENT transmission (just like almost nothing 100% does anything). But they reduce transmission. In short, they help. They save lives. Period. If one doesn’t accept that one is misinformed. That’s not really meant to be an insult - it’s just the truth. Otherwise smart people can be weak-minded and be swayed by the crowd, their emotions, any number of things. This includes some doctors. That said, any medical doctor that tells you wearing a mask in public does not reduce your risk of getting and transmitting COVID is a poor doctor. Period. I wouldn’t trust them to treat me. Anyone who does even the most basic research on this subject could not conclude otherwise. Basically every leader over the past year has even stated their efficacy- republicans and democrats, with some exceptions and changed minds as some began to see they could use the contrary position to make political hay with the weak-minded. So here we are with grown men whining like children and acting like wearing a mask is the end of the world - using insults and humor as a way to hide their lack of knowledge and resulting insecurities. Others want those who don’t wear them to start because it puts everyone at risk. Basically those who don’t wear them are perpetuating the situation and slowing the recovery.

You remind me of the 22 year old political science major waitress that lectured three doctors the other night at dinner, apparently they had committed a grievous crime via walking in the restaurant with out masks, only to walk 5 yards and be seated at a table not requiring masks. Those three doctors have treated well over 300 Covid cases combined. Two have submitted treatments to the FDA. HCQ is still being used in early diagnosis world wide. It’s a shame India an essentially third world country has a lower death rate then the US, but then again HCQ and ivermectin are readily available, and you don’t have Gov’ers banning them.

You only hear what you want to hear. And repeat what you want that suits your talking points. If you need a social appeasement on masks knock yourself out, but make sure you close your eyes when you walk out side on a cold morning so you don’t see your breath.

Last time I read about that, it was believed 30% of the world's population had the T-Cells that would make them immune, but potential carriers. So, if 30% of the US has those, about 99 million people...I think it would have been a better strategy to identify those that have the t-cells and then vaccinate the rest and move on with our lives.

I think the mask is more than just political. Geography plays a big factor. Van Zandt County does not do mask on the whole. People working in public service wear them because of job requirements but the public does not and nobody ask them to except Brookshires. I was at the lake house in Oklahoma the last two days and dont recall seeing a mask except in the gas station at the casino. The employees were wearing them. So for everyone who don’t understand us ignorant people, maybe you should come visit the country, in fact it appears to be safer out here without a mask than your urban areas with them. That’s based on infection and death rates.
