I have a Vortex Strike Eagle 1-6x24 on a picatinny rail.

I am able to see the barrel in the scope while zoomed all the way out. Once I zoom out past the 1.5 mark, the barrel is out of visibility.

I have tried mounting the scope all the way forward & back, with no success.

I was told I may need a 20 moa riser...

What do y'all suggest?

Pictures attached...

No, you don't.

Sight height and eye relief are all you need to worry about. The sight height is probably correct in that mount, that is what it is for. Eye relief, crank the scope up to 6X and shoulder the rifle with your eyes closed. Open your eyes, if you're tunneling (black on the edges) your eye relief is not right. Do you need to move your head forward or backward to make it right? Stop, adjust the position of the scope.

Seeing the barrel is more common than not on a low magnification scope.

“I am able to see the barrel in the scope while zoomed all the way out. Once I zoom out past the 1.5 mark, the barrel is out of visibility.”

Hmm...first you say you see the barrel while zoomed all the way out but then you say you zoom out and it is out of visibility. Confusing.
I’m guessing this occurs normally with 1 power.

On the other hand, unless it’s just the way the pic sits, I’d say your scope is not leveled properly.

FOV and low mag is why he can see the barrel at 1.5X. As FJG said above, he's fine, if the height is good for him just get the eye relief set and roll with it.

Meant to say "once I zoom in past the 1.5 mark..."

Thanks for the help everyone. I'll keep it as-is and adjust for eye relief as FiremanJG mentioned.
