Starting to look at putting together a Kansas Deer hunt for 2021 and I am looking for recommendations for an outfitter to use. Could be either archery or gun. In the initial stages of planning and with the number of outfitters I see on the web it would be nice to have some reviews from the THF trust. Any info is appreciated.

I have a buddy that goes with Perry Ross every year. He has yet to eat a tag sandwich. A couple of guys that have gone with him have eaten the tag sandwich.
His kills range from 150-170”.
My understanding is they bring their own meals, bedding etc...
Perry only provides the hunting.

You will need draw a permit to hunt there. Archery is somewhat easier to draw(more NR permits) and it depends on the unit. Rifle or Muzzleloader can be more difficult to draw(less NR permits). NR permits are limited by unit. If you navigate the website you can find links to last years draw odds, numbers of permits per unit, unit maps, season lengths, permit/license fees, records, public land, WIHA, etc. There are a lot of outfitters up there and some do a lot of hunts with lots of hunters. Some have a lot of ground leased/owned. Find the unit you like and then search the web for outfitters. Google their name for feedback and then call all the references they give you. Here is a link to last years. https://ksoutdoors.com/Hunting/Applications-and-Fees/DeerTop 20 Deer records by weapon and NT/Typical class. Look on right side menu and bottom of the menu for link. https://ksoutdoors.com/Hunting/Big-Game-Information/Deer

appreciate the replies! When reading the outfitters websites it includes the unit you need to apply for. Looks like the draw entry is in April so will have to do my research.

K&K Outfitters is a great outfit. They kill giants every year. I’ve hunted with them 3 times and will absolutely go back. https://www.duckandbuck.com/
