We had a member here that I haven’t talked to in awhile that did similar work. We went on a hunt, and he told me about it, but I don’t recall the particulars. Something to do with operating underwater robots, I believe.

Yes. In water too deep for divers we use ROV's (remotely operated vehicles) to perform the work. Essentially a machine controlled from the surface via an umbilical that has thrusters to maneuver, cameras and sonar to see, and manipulator arms to perform tasks. Different tools can be added to the rov to perform what ever task is required.

I have some really cool ROV video of a huge alien looking sea creature that was not known to man from the Shell Perdido, recorded at the sea floor at 8,000 ft. Always enjoyed hanging out with the divers & Subsea group.

Hort degree from A&M and have been in sales/production for a large nursery for over 20 years, AKA a Plant Pimp

I have also done some community work in trying to teach the ladies at the half-way house how to go all the way but that is probably more of a topic for another thread, most likely in the Bunker hammer

According to my degree, that's what I should be doing. But somehow I fell into the dark side and ended up doing IT full time. Now I'm the CTO for a healthcare system.
