I quail hunted there a few years ago. I bumped hogs up in random places all over. There should be lots of them. If I were hog hunting it, I would take lots of corn to bait all the shooting lanes out from my blind or blinds on the first day.

We see a lot of hogs all along the Intercoastal (both sides) in that area, and in the sloughs around Mad Island WMA when fishing. A friend from Lake Jackson used to hunt it all the time with his son. They said the same thing every time they hunted it - kill a bunch the first morning, a few the next day, then they're wised up and you never see them again!!!

Sunday alternate if the weather is nice and hunting slow could be to take fishing gear, drive to the end of 365 to Oyster Lake Park aka Oyster Lake Fishing Hole for some remote bank fishing. It's real close to Mad Island.
