I almost bought the 1.75 hp one, but when i looked at the product weight I decided the 1.5 was all i needed to lug around!

Thankfully, my hand will not fit in the neck to get to the auger.... and we keep the kids at a distance!

My 1 hp Weston is heavy, but you can’t slow that thing down. Has a big throat on it and I feed it big pieces. Has never groaned or plugged up. The smaller LEM’s that I used to use were a pain, just didn’t have the juevos. I bet lugging around a 1 1/2 or 1 3/4 would be fun.

I have a Gander Mtn #12, 3/4 hp grinder. I am very happy with it. You get what you pay for. There should be some good sales this time of year.

Lem #8 will grind venison and pork as fast as you can feed it in, if its cubed to fit down the feed tube.

I bought a $50 grinder attachment for our KitchenAid stand mixer. I freeze meat for grinding whole then grind to order/per meal.
