Affordable outdoor outfitters
First off I have hunted with James and his crew for three years. 1 year I went to my son that was leaving for the marine corp in a few months. Got their that Friday met with James Ray the contact that I had from the very beginning of this adventure. Plus we met with our guide Ethan. Vey knowledgeable young man at the age of I think then 14 are 15 years old my son was 17. The match for him with Ethan as his guide was the best match. The first evening we went out with Ethan he put us in the stand and left few hours latter about a dozen are so does jumped out he was able to get him a doe that evening. Even saw a big old hog that was not close to get a shot on. The next morning we hunted a different stand for a spike buck but was not lucky enough to see one that morning are evening. But Saturday even Ethan and my son went out and put lights up to try to get a hog to come to the feeder but was not able to. That Sunday morning we hunted one more hunt but did not see a spike buck.
The next year took my wife on he first hunt met with James that Friday when we arrived and chatted a bit about the deer was not moving very well as the weather was really off. But to our guide wayett he never Gave up on batting feeding even strawberry’s was used. But we did not get a kill on anything that weekend. Before we left that Sunday we rebooked for Jan 1 2021. Wife and I drove up weather was terrible snow and cold met with our guide at the motel that James put up in he paid for it as his lodge was not easy to get into due to weather. Motel was great. Went out with our guide Darrell that Friday evening we got to our stand and wife was able to shoot her first deer at around 5:15 a doe and a 125 yard shot for her first ever deer she had ever harvested. Darrell field gutted the seat along with two more that some other hunters was hunting with James as we was. Got the deer taking care of that night. Went back early Saturday morning did not see a spike buck but did see a 8 are 10 point at the feeder that we could not shoot as she was in a meat hunt. That Saturday we went back around 3 same stand all weekend was sitting their around 5 nice 6 point came out at the feeder was not a legal deer as he was not a spike that she could kill. While watching him thru the binoculars low and below us 25 yards the spike buck popped out and bam she got him nice shot nice big spike deer. As to the hunts we all know it’s not a high fence hunt their is not a sure thing that you will see are even kill a spike hog are doe it’s hunting and open range hunting. No high fence trapped in deer. Just everyday hunting if you are not will to take a chance to not take a deer this is not for you. If you understand it’s hunting and it is what it is this is for you. As far as James and his crew and what was told and prepared and presented to us was what he told us. In fact I think they went above and beyond to make sure my wife too he first deer. And she did and as far as us rebooking you bet your [censored] we are and did hit are miss it’s hunting guys if your not willing to take a chance to come up without a kill stay home as they do not run them out a pen so you can just shoot one you hunt it kill it help dress it learn what the guides have to offer and tell you that is the best tip I can give you. So again give James a call he will and does the best to offer a great hunt for the cost. But it’s a open hunt for deer. Not a preserve that runs them in for you to pick what you want to kill. Thanks happy hunting

If this is the outfit around Bryson, I've seen many, many negative reviews. Pimpin' an outfitter seems strange for a first post.
