Sneaky, have you tried Gateway Cafe? Looks about as close as you might get to what you’re looking for. They have a NY strip, ribeye and prime rib. Google has pictures and the steak looks decent, but they apparently ordered it well done.

I have not. I’ll give it a shot if I get the chance. I’ll likely be back in Ohio, soon.

That steak looks like it was cooked in an Air Fryer, I’m out.

I traveled frequently to the Lancaster, Pa. area years ago but I don't remember eating many steaks up there. The best steaks I ever ate were in Grand Island, NE.. I use to travel to all corners of the country quite a bit. I learned to stick with local cuisine. As much as I like Mexican food I only ordered it one time in the Portland area. I had some real good steaks in Ft. Collins, CO.

I was thinking microwave or maybe a kids easy bake oven.

I love Lancaster. Never been to a good steak house there, but if you or anyone else is looking for a good meal, try The Press Room downtown. Really good. It’s also about a half a block from the market, which is open during the week in the mornings. Cool experience with some great stuff for sale. Captain Gus’s for hoagies is a must.

Definitely beef country. Ex is from Hastings, used to drive there twice a year. Meat market there always had tons of good looking local corn fed black angus steaks, and a lot cheaper than back home. I would fill a whole ice chest full of beef and buffalo steaks to bring home.

My son started referring to Outhouse Steakhouse many years ago. smile I remember it being not so bad in the
80's and early 90's , not sure when exactly it went down hill. Have not been to one in the last 15 years,

I guess I'm the rare one. I don't eat steak out. It's not that I don't like it, but I can make a fantastic steak at home. If I go out, I want something I can't make at home.

Pretty much my thoughts too. Steak is one of the meals that should have the least participation from the cook.

We go to Taste if Texas every year for steaks because it is a tradition.

That is one of my favorite salad bars at Taste of Texas.

Yep. This year it was a bit odd. Told them what you wanted and they got it for you.

The best steak I’ve had outside Texas was at Truluck’s in Chicago, I’d highly recommend staying out of that city but if your brave enough Truluck’s up their had way better steaks than the ones in their Texas locations for some reason.

If the range isn't covered in pronghorn it's going to be cattle, better know how to cook one up here.
Small towns in Nebraska usually have a good place to get a steak also.

My preference, as well. I just spend a lot of time on the road and can’t go very long without a ribeye.
