As far as hitting the winning numbers, it’s the same. When more people play, more people are likely to win, yes? And when multiple people win, they split the prize, yes?

But if you split half a billion you'll still have a lot more than if you split 50 million

That is why I never buy. Just imagine that to went to bed thinking that you had won a billion dollars. You wake up the next morning and there was also another winner. Just think of the sadness when you find that you had only won a half billion.
