Nice pics. Lots of nature besides whitetails to be seen while sitting in a blind.

Great pics! Are those javelina in Throckmorton County? I have seen a javelina in Throckmorton but only once. Also saw an antelope/pronghorn there but only once as well.

I saw the bird in the background of the javelina pic and i remembered taking this pic the other day. If I could think of a catchy title I would start a separate thread so I hope you dont mind me tagging along on your thread.

How long ago did you see the pronghorn? TxTro, I think it was 2016. Been there many year before and after but havent seen others. I was told they were stocked in the area in the 70s-dont know if true. We are bordered by a 55000 acre Ranch that has been completely cleared and it looks kind of like Pronghorn country.

In 1995 I killed a javelina in Stephens County which is just south of Throckmorton County. There were three of them running together. Never seen any before or after that. In the late 1970's some pronghorns were stocked in Shackelford County.....saw them a few times west of Albany. Can't say I have seen any since then.

My eyes must be getting bad cause I am not seeing any bufflegrass in those pics. Where are you seeing it? Is the high clumpy grass looking growth in the javelina pictures, foreground and background not bufflegrass? If not, then somebody told me incorrectly a very long time ago in South Texas. Regardless, the pictures look South Texas all day every day to me and my nearly 40 years of hunting that area of TX.

I take it you are referring to buffalo grass, it does not grow that way, my dad had a cow/calf herd on buffalo grass, spent a few times gathering and driving to different pastures
hold on Newt, we got a runaway
