Any predictions on the end of the ammo shortage? Other than shotgun shells for upland birds and waterfowl, I haven't seen any of the centerfire ammo I use for almost three months.

If this is truly the case, we can expect the wild hog population to explode and the deer population to starve do to population increase.

When it does end (probably next year sometime), do yourself a favor and stock up so you have ammo for the next shortage.

Depends if they actual do enough research to understand what an armor piercing round is. Since basically any round above a .223 will penetrate body armor I wouldn’t doubt it if someone actually figures it out and gives it a try.

The new Remington ammo factory that is being built at the Port of Little Rock should come online in 6 months or so.
That should help or at least keep us even. That is if raw material is available to build ammo. You would think if they

And the casings will include a number that makes them traceable.

If your having trouble finding ammo, quit shooting for fun. If you don’t shoot for fun, then you should have enough on hand to last you two years of hunting, otherwise you didn’t plan at all and you can pay the ridiculous prices of the modern ammo world.

The auction got a little crazier and the winning bid was $1625 for 200 rounds of 6.5 PRC. That is over $8 per round or $162.50 per box....just goes to show the power of the law of supply and demand (or the stupidity of people although I guess some people have more money than sense and can spend it how they want.)

As I was running around last week looking for bird/skeet shot I asked the guy at Academy about 2506 that a friend was looking for. He said to show up early on Monday, that is when they get trucks in.
Well clearly two minutes early ain't enough.

I've been assured that this is just veterans restocking their own supply and in no way is this contributing to the shortage of ammo nor the gross pricing done by scalpers gougers scumbags these fine gentlemen.

I've never gone, but I was told it's 3 boxes per caliber per person. So one could leave with 3-243, 3-270, 3-30/06 etc.

Sign at mine today said 3 boxes per person all calibers.

Stopped by an Academy today and they had .17hmr and 1 box of 10mm

Well, that was about two months ago, that I asked. Maybe they have changed it now so that more customers can get product.
