Anyone use one? What are your thoughts? Currently have a Flir PTS 233. I am not sure how it will compare.

I have one, can't really compare it with another thermal but did have a SightMark Photon RT . I like the Thor LT a lot better. I use it around the house with a 300 BO. It is good for identification to about 150 yards. It will detect farther but hard to tell what it is. I was never able to afford the 3000+ units just seemed like a waste of money for what I was using it for. I am satisfied with the quality and the price.

Thanks GLC. Do you have the 3x6 or 4x8? Like you, I can't justify the cost of the other units and usually shots are under 100 yards.

I have rarely cranked mine to 6 normally just leave it on 3, resolution is much better on 3. By the way, battery life is great.

Thanks for the input. I ordered the 4x8 this morning. I asked about the resolution and he said it was better, I hope he was right. I had the same thoughts as you. If I had your reply before then, I might have stuck with the 3x6. I appreciate your feedback.
For what it is worth, I bought a refurbished unit for $1,079 and they threw in the quick disconnect mount for no extra charge. The refurbished 4x8 unit was only $100 more than the 3x6. Has 3 year warranty and 6 year warranty on the battery. I guess I will see how it stacks up.
