Had a camera out on our little place in an AR county all season on a feeder. Tons of deer all year long, pretty decent amount of does spikes, and less than 13 inch bucks during the day but no 13+ during shooting hours. The last day of general rifle season we had a new legal 8 show up for a few pictures in the morning during legal hours and a real nice 8 we have been seeing all year long at 2-4 AM has been there for 3 days straight morning and afternoons during shooting hours. Muzzleloader season ends on the 17th I think. I tried it Sunday morning and got rained out... shouldn't have slept in on Saturday and I would have had a deer to gut!

I don't know all the different county rules, but I was under the impression that all that could be taken now was Does and spikes in AR restricted counties, at least in Erath where I hunt. Please enlighten me if I am mistaken. Thanks

Varies by county...I can still take does, spikes and bucks greater than 13" that I have tags for. I am in an AR county also.

As I understand it.... and lord knows ive been wrong before and will be again... In my county, Wilson, muzzlelader season is open till Jan 17th and any legal deer may be taken within your tags etc.

One thing that is new to me is mandatory reporting. If I am able to connect on a doe, I have to log it on the TPWD site or on an Ap they have. Never had to do that before.

Haven’t heard of that. I’ll have to look up my counties.
