Witnessed another buck fight yesterday afternoon. It was short but intense like most fights seem to be. I took 93 photos of the fight and below will be a few of the fight. There was a point where I thought one buck was going to end up with a broken neck. But in the end the both bucks ended up unhurt and I was did see both multiple times later that afternoon.
The 2 bucks in the fight. One looked like a 4 yr old and the other was mature. The mature buck must have not been a regular on this area of the ranch. When the mature buck pinned his ears back and began to posture I knew what was going to happen. I felt like he would bluff the younger buck off and that did not happen. When he turned to the younger buck and the younger buck bowed up the fight was on.

And the winner is?

Man that's something, no one was backing down. Looks like the mature buck finally got the upper hand.

At first I thought the older 9pt would win it easily, but the younger 9pt held his own for a while. Both new how to fight and both tried to get under the other to gain the advantage. In the end the old 9pt won the fight.
