Well, I was planning on putting in an order for a Randall Made Knife Model 5 as a graduation gift for my oldest son (he should graduate from San Houston State in December 2021). Well, I need to think of a different gift because the order backlog is 5 to 6 years per their website. If I ordered it today it wouldn't ship til 2026! https://www.randallknives.com/knives/model-5-small-camp-and-trail/

There are Randall dealers that keep a few different models in stock. They used to be fairly reasonable, or they were when I bought mine. AG Russell used to have Randalls in stock for sale.

There's alot of other options out there for that price with no wait. Unless you really want a Russell I'd get something else. I do a lot of business with USAmade blade, a knife shop that only sell American made knives, and they've got a good selection of fixed blades. They are always getting in new stuff so the selection changes over time. If your son is a Makers Mark drinker then that Makers Mark knife would be awesome. It's made by a dude that was on forged in fire and the handle is out of a Makers barrel. https://www.usamadeblade.com/All-Fixed-Blade-Knives_c10.htm

I have two Randall knives, Model #21 (Little Game) and Model #26 (Pathfinder). Both are new and have never been sharpened. Let me know if you are interested and I can send pics.

Try A.G. Russell. They are a Randall dealer and always hove some on hand. They will cost more than ones straight from Randall but you don't have the 5 year wait. I used to have 2 Randalls but sold them about 2 years ago.

WOW! Like others have said, try AG Russell to avoid the wait. I'm a Randall fan and have had a few come and go over the years, but Ive kept-and used- a Model 7 5 inch for 49 years now...its on its third sheath... ![[Linked Image]](https://i.imgur.com/NHs4VUq.jpg)

Randall has had at least a 4 year wait for the last 20yrs that i can recall. It was one of the things that got me started cuz i wanted a M25 and couldnt afford one or the wait. Like others said, you can get sooner, but youll pay a premium
