That's a good question. Land prices around San Angelo are much higher per Ac vs W TX/panhandle area. I cant afford enough land for my family to hunt around San Angelo. I love the area!. I am not opposed to the Shackelford area. I've never hunted there. . If anyone knows of a nice place in my price range please let me know.

Two members here have helped me with info on their personal/family properties. I saw one yesterday. It was very nice! I am hoping to see the other this wkend or next. Many thanks to both of you for the help. Both are very nice guys and I enjoyed speaking with them.

Your thinking is accurate, your dollar will go further the more north and west you venture; San Angelo area and Shackleford are going to run you a few hundred more per acre on average...
