I don't know of your muscular physical condition but my grandmother used to have one, and she was able to right herself easily, on her own power.. Depending on where you put it, you might can anchor a rope above you so you can help pull your self up.

I have had one for yrs. set it to your height, raise your arms to go back, put them by your side to go up. sometimes I have to assist a little but not often. I am 6'1" and 215#. start with the retention strap set to about 45* and get used to it, work to full inversion and staying there for a few mins. I hang for 5-10 and relax as best I can, lower back is afu and the table helps a lot. I got an ironman on wal mart online, shipped to door for free and only about 225.00 all in. link is the one I have. https://www.walmart.com/ip/IRONMAN-Gravity-4000-Highest-Weight-Capacity-Inversion-Table/8477604

Are the ankle restraints comfortable? I had some gravity boots and they were not very comfortable.

We got one two Christmas’s ago and I use it occasionally. I think ours goes 45, 60 and then 90 degrees. 45 and 60 are simple to right up from. 90 is a little more difficult, but it’s not hard. When you are completely inverted, the foot restraints on ours aren’t the most comfortable things in the world, but you aren’t spending 30 minutes in them either. We got ours at Academy and I think I bought the one that was about $150.
Thanks, Rich

Wife uses one every day for back pain. I tried it but couldn't take it. CL - find them cheap.

I got a teeter and it is a lifesaver for my lower back problems. I don't do it everyday, in fact I only get on it when I have pain. I'll do it 2 or 3 times on a day with pain where I can barely walk and the next day I feel 50% better than I did.
Mine doesn't come up quite as easy as putting your arms down, but I can get myself back up even when I can barely walk

Inversion table is the only thing that works for me. Have 3 dislocated discs in lower back and sciatica. I spent thousands at the Chiropractor and only made things worse, physical therapy nothing worked until I bought a $150 table at Academy. Don’t go 90% right off the bat, I did and hurt myself. Start off with less angle and work yourself into it. Taking muscle relaxers before inverting helps too, but hate taking them.

I had a herniated disc on my lower back. Spine Dr. says shots or surgery. I asked about spinal decompression.. He said it wasn't FDA approved so he couldn't recommend it but has had a lot of patients have good success w/them. I bought the best one there was, a Teeter's. Used it for a few minutes a few days a week & after ~3 months, herniated disc was corrected. It was a lifesaver! FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS or it WILL cause more pain. Take it SLOWWWWWWW. FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS or it WILL cause more pain.

Be very careful. If your back pain is from certain things, an iversion table can hurt you. I used one and was in the Emergency room the next day. If you have serious back issue like herniated discs or previous back surgeries Id stay away from them.

I had a herniated disc when I first got on mine, and hurt myself worse because I went straight to full incline. When I say hurt, I mean cannot walk across the room without help. Cannot get in/out of truck or bed, hit a bump, fart etc...., extreme crippling pain. I started over at less of an angle and it made a huge difference. Took the pain away like nothing else after a few days/weeks. Was able to get off of my pain pills and Celebrex.

If anyone needs one I have a brand new Teeter, used about 5 times. make you a great deal!!
When I would go back it made me nauseous. But then again I usually get seasick out in the gulf.

Get checked by a doctor first. I tried it then my left foot went numb. I went in and the problem was I have spinal stenosis and they ended up having to do surgery to make my spinal canal wider to keep the pressure off my nerves. I had my surgery today actually.
Sometimes it's hard being me! But somebody has to do it.

Hope your surgery went well I have spinal stenosis too. I take Meloxicam anti inflammatory and Gabapentin for nerve pain. I've been dealing with it with injections and my Iron Man II Inversion table does help relieve pain. As we all know most of these are just "Band-Aids" until surgery. What did you have done. Hope it works great !!

Hope it works great !! I took the anti inflammatory and gabapentin with muscle relaxers for about 2 months. What worked best was 100mg CBD gummies with gabapentin. I tried the inversion and stability ball but no good I let it go to long I guess. I had left lumbar five sacral 1 lumbar laminotomy, medial facetectomy and microsurgical discectomy. I had it done yesterday and today I'm getting feeling back in my toes, no sciatic nerve pain and just a little soreness in my lower back as the nerves swell up after surgery but it's not near as bad as before. I haven't had to take anything for pain yet but the dr said i would probably need to on Saturday because 3rd day is max swelling of nerves and then things get better. For now, I'm feeling great. Sit working from home for 30 minutes get up and walk 5 to 10 or stand for a while then sit. No lifting over 10 lbs for a week, 20 pounds next week. No excess bending for 2 weeks and after 4 weeks I can do what I want.
Sometimes it's hard being me! But somebody has to do it.

I would agree to be very careful in using one. I had back issues and when nothing else worked I tried one. It did help my lower back at first, maybe. But then I also started having ankle issues and hip issues. Had to stop. Surgery was only option. Which was life changing. Again, be careful. Back issues are the real deal and can go badly quick.

Just an fyi if the inversion table isn't an option. Day 6 after surgery. I have dull pain but I was told to expect it during the first 10 days. I haven't had to take any pain of the hard pain meds since Friday night. That was the worst night. I am finally able to get more tan 3 hours sleep a night. I'm back to work just on light duty.

Ask about this table with your doctor first, just saying.
