Buddy of mine shot this deer while bowhunting Friday evening at our lease in Mason. Shot was high, but had good blood for 150 or so yards. Decided to back out for the night and get back on the trail in the morning. Next morning the blood trail was sparse so we decided to call in the dogs. Thomas and his Blue Lacy "Moose" with Mud Spring Game Tracking out of Burnet had the deer Bayed in 10 minutes and we were able to put him down quickly. This was our first experience calling out dogs to help with tracking. Though it was disappointing not hitting the mark, he was sure glad we called on "Moose". This hunt coupled with all the snow we got in Mason was one we won't soon forget. [Linked Image]

Made my day.

Quail hunting is like walking into, and out of a beautiful painting all day long. Gene Hill
