I'm looking to hunt a free range/low fence axis buck for a couple of days in June, and I'm putting together a list of outfitters that seem to be well respected. So far I have:

Muley Mike
Pope Brothers
Texas Safaris
Desert Safaris

Any other recommendations based on personal experience? Thanks.

As an outfitter of 20+ years myself if it were me I’d hunt with Mike or Clay Pope. Clay on average takes a lot of really good free range axis. Just my $0.02. Best of luck on your hunt.

If you ever decide to hunt fenced ranches we’d love to earn your consideration.

Can’t go wrong with Pope Brothers. Been going to Clay for a while and they have quality animals and service.

Muley Mike, they work hard to make hunt successful. Great people.

I’m going with Muley Mike in Mid May for an Axis Hunt. Had a great time and experience with them (West TX Hunt Organization) on a Aoudad Hunt in October.

I have only hunted with Mulie Mike. Nothing but good things to say about my hunts with him.
