customer of mine runs some road race one - gas powered. He's got wicked money into them. He even has a whole pit setup with signage and everything. He's run all over the country and oversees as well and has a handful of trophy's to show for it. It can be a pretty consuming and expensive hobby if you so desire.

We have one now that I got my son for Christmas. Just got something basic for now. We have a few years ago then kinda lost interest when mikes hobby shop closed and didn’t really have a place or use them. You can get in under 300 but knowing how it’s been for most people I know, it won’t be that cheap for long. Heck I’m looking at a second one now.

They add up quick buzz

Buzz, skip the rubber tires and go with a jet turbine RC jet. Get anything you want, F22 A10, B52, even a 737.

Oh you’ll probably tear something up. LOL But like stated above, you can replace just about everything and it’s not too expensive. The hobby shop will probably have all the parts for them hanging on the wall.

Nitro Maxxis Gravedigger here, the dogs love chasing it and it makes you feel like a kid again. Nitro RC is way funner than battery powered. Yes, crashes and repairs can be expensive. But I love the smell of nitro in the air.

Nitro is a lot more fun, except for the everyday tuning, annoying glow plugs, and necessity of cleaning it better than anything you cook with, lol.

Yep, I tore down my engine and rebuilt it for fun a few weeks back, it was filthy. Runs much better now though.

I had a nitro truck in my middle school and early high school days. A ton of fun and very good for teaching simple mechanical ability. Every young boy should have one. The electrics back then were great as well, I can only imagine how they are now.

Have a couple of buddies into RC trucks. Two of them race competitively, and spend $$$ doing it. Even the ones that just have them as hobbies spend an obscene amount of money. I think I spend less on my bass boat yearly.

yup, messed with them most of my life, mainly nitro racing. off road, dirt oval, on road cars. combat, f1, q500 planes. outrigger, tunnel, hydroplane boats. porting, timing, tuning. i dabble (front yard flyers) with small electric copters, conventional and quad, nothing serious though. buzz, i've got a traxxas nitro revo 2.5r that may or may not have had the 3.3 engine upgrade i could get rid of, lol

rc sparks is funny. i watch his youtube gold series sometimes. they're a bunch of goofballs mining gold with rc equipment
