This Bobcat had been hanging around the feeder waiting for something small and tasty to show up. A young buck appeared and pretty much ruined it for the bobcat. Bobkitty just sits down, neither one of them concerned about the other.

Nice video...the deer on my place here would not do that. They run when they see a coyote or bobcat almost every time. The deer just do not like predators here. It is easy to tell when they see a bobcat here as to how they react. I have had to many hunts ruined by a bobcat or coyote sneaking by the blind and the deer see it.

It is easy to tell when they see a bobcat here as to how they react. I have had to many hunts ruined by a bobcat or coyote sneaking by the blind and the deer see it. We have so many small prey animals here (field mice, rabbits, squirrels, birds) that Coyote, Bobcat and Fox can (and do) stay fat on easy to catch and kill prey. I'm sure both Coyote and Bobcat take Deer Fawns when they can find them, but once the deer have grown enough to follow 'momma' around well, they just aren't in any real danger here. The difference in location and circumstance as you alluded to.
