I triggered the gate tonight on 7 hogs. I’ll have to head up to Bailey in the morning to dispatch them. Guess the buzzards are going to be eating well for the holidays

Tannerite —-LOL. That would be interesting.
But I would like to take some of the meat.
I’ll be heading up there in an hour.
These all look to be great size for eating. So I’ll take my pick of the best one or two

I made my own cell phone trigger. It works great and cost about $300 for everything including solar panel and high end lithium battery

That's awesome to be able to trigger via cell phone. High speed!

Why go for the best one or two- just take the back straps of all 7. Probably be quicker and easier than butchering one or two whole pigs, and arguably the best cuts too.

I have a similar trap, without the cell phone type thing though. I had two fairly large ones last night and they managed to tear up the door pretty good by the time I got them out this morning. I have one of those doors that have 3 panels, and I had them all wired together into one large door.....that is had !! I'll get it all back together and working again tomorrow.

5 of the 7 were over 100 lbs. 2 were Boars and 5 Sows. I took the hams and backstraps from the 5 sows and filled two 75QT coolers with meat. Plenty more still out there tonight Picture from feeder just 100 yards away tonight.

I had one bust up my trap door too... I had to re-weld it and this time I added extra steel. Looks like it worked out great as these 7 were flying into it today and it held up with no issues or bends.

I made my own cell phone trigger. It works great and cost about $300 for everything including solar panel and high end lithium battery I would like more details on your set up please. Thanks, Gerick It's been a while since I built it but the main component and most expensive part can be found on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/KiaoTime-GSM-RELAY-US4G-Output-Control-Contact/dp/B01MZ0VFAAYou will need to get an AT&T prepaid data plan that runs $25 for three months and can be renewed before it expires. It will have the sim card. The controler will have to be configured to only accept calls and texts from your phone number so that sales calls don't trigger it. The trigger can be any electronic trunk release or use an actuator like this depening on how you have your trap door release setup. https://smile.amazon.com/ECO-WORTHY-Actuator-Maximum-Mounting-Brackets/dp/B088D7N85K/ref=sr_1_5?crid=2H003G8BR6EMW&dchild=1&keywords=actuator+12v&qid=1609450634&sprefix=actuator%2Caps%2C207&sr=8-5 The solar panel, Solar panel controller waterproof box to contain all the electronics and battery can all be gotten from amazon. Advice... Make sure you use solid copper wires. The copper coated wires will corrode outdoors very fast and will frustrate you when they do corrode.
