the 1895's were .savage .303, then in 1900 the 30-30 was added, in 1903 the 25-35, 32-40, 38-55 were added and so and so on the calibers were added

Very cool stuff! It's interesting the one ad lists "Schuetzen Target Ranges." Very few people even know what that is anymore. There's a few clubs around Fredericksburg. They were more than shooting competitions, they were a major social event!

that would not be the the Marlin mfg, they only made from 1895-1898 your serial no puts yours much later

Much later than yours, or much later than 1908? I've found two sources that give 1908 and another than gives 1908-1912. I want to make sure what I'm telling folks is factual.
