I would have bought the SS throw lever from SWFA if the had it in stock. Since they didn’t I tried the MK. Let me start by saying that this is my first experience with 3D printing so my expectations may have been off.

With that said this is a piece of crap I would not recommend to anyone. To start it’s incredibly ugly, Mattel make better plastic toys. It did not even kinda fit the scope. There was a big casting ring in it that many would have just sent back. Since it was a modest investment ($22) I decided to give it hell with the dremel tool. It couldn’t get any uglier.

After some work and cussing, it does fit and has a firm grin on the magnification ring. I will use it until I can get one from SWFA, which I understand is made by the same company but of higher quality. That part may or may not be true.

I WOULD NOT buy this product again but it does work. Eventually.

The last pic is how far it was from fitting before modifications.

That’s exactly the way the one I had looked like. I couldn’t even get mine tight enough to use.

Jlsbassman the dremel is your friend. I honestly have no doubt that after my modifications it will do the job for as long as I want to use it. A half round file will produce the same result. It could even be unfuglied if I had the ambition. But I don’t.

I'm surprised you were able to dremel it out enough to use without cracking. That is pathetic. Almost like it's the wrong size completely, besides the bur. So far I'm not impressed with 3D printed products.

One shot is all it should take.

It looks like it was made with somebody’s wood burning kit. Except I think I could melt plastic better by hand.

It is the right size once you get rid of the ring. Before anyone says the ring goes in the groove, it’s twice as wide as the groove. Not happening. I tried, then put the calipers on it.

I've got a couple of their throw levers, they fit great on the scopes that I put them on.

I have 2 of them, one of the exact swfa you have and aversion for the trijicon accupoint series. Yes are ugly as sin, but both min fit and functioned appropriately.
Sorry for your bad experience.

Should have bought their pro series like I said in the PM. Completely different 3D printing technologies. The one you have is from their FDM printers and surface quality on FDM is definitely bottom of the barrel. Strong, but not visually appealing. Their Pro series is printed on an HP MJF printer with a completely different technology. Just as strong, but better surface finish.

MJF can even have different post processes done to it to even smooth the surfaces even more. The second pic is an AR grip I printed for a guy and used a different post process than the others.

Well I had already made the order before your suggestion. I definitely listen to sound advice, I just didn’t know in time.

I would have to put a different rail or higher rings on mine to allow a throw lever to clear the rail frown

Pretty sure nobody is having interference with the rail issues. Scopes don’t clock a full 360 degrees.

Nope, just some magnification rings are tough to turn. And higher rings, ruining cheek weld and natural point of aim. Yeah that's a great idea.

Not

I have an EGW rail and burris rings on mine and it has a thick sheet of paper/card stock worth of clearance between the magnification ring and the base. Im sure unique to my ring/base/scope selection, but it wouldnt clear it, and like Fireman says, im not going to mess with high rings and mess up my cheek weld etc.

Redchevy, sounds like it could just be your combo of rail, rings, and scope. I've done some testing on MK's "pro series" stuff on fit and finish and haven't had any interference issues with any of his rings or turret magnifyers. His printed rail mount levels, however, were a different story. I had him tweak the height above the rail to allow it to fit under lower rings.

Mine is same way EGW 20MOA base, Seekins Rings and Vortex Razor II. Have about the same amount of clearance on mine.

With my 2.5-15 athlon ares at max mag I cant rack the bolt back. BUT that's bc of where the "knot" is on the athlon. Only 1 way to mount it and it doesnt work. The ones on the nxs and gen 2 razor have worked great
