Several months ago I purchased 2 identical scopes direct from the mfgr. Once I had them mounted and was sighting in I found a mark on top of one of the turrets (elevation) that looks like it was put there with a magic marker. It is on the turret itself, under the removable cap. Any ideas on why this mark would have been put there? Thanks.

If you call the mfg and give them the serial # of the scope they can let you know of any service history

As much as I appreciate the effort, I am still curious as to the mark on my turret.....does anyone know if technicians working on scopes mark them in any way.
