I have some rural land in Brown County (Bangs). Mostly pasture with a few mesquites and scattered larger trees. My 10 acres adjoins 150 acres of undeveloped land. Anybody hunt micro properties like this with any luck?

My 13 adjoining neighbors do.

High fence in my future.

Our neighbor does. Find where the deer cross your property. Put up a feeder and stand. Don't put it too close to the property line or you'll raise the hackles of your neighbor. Don't shoot 3 or 4 deer a year. Keep it to one deer a year, and maybe your neighbors won't put up a high fence. Our neighbor has 20 acres. Shoots maybe a deer every other year, and shoots a bunch of pigs too. He's salt of the earth, and he's coming over this afternoon to use our rifle range to sight in his Christmas present.

That’s the way it should be

When I hunt, it is no more than ten acres at a time.

Hunted my own property between Gonzales and Shiner. 2.67 acres. Set up a feeder and bow blind. First year was slow but from then on I had deer coming daily. Hunting pressure around me was very light. Had some very nice bucks running through the property and would stop for a bite. I arrowed a good 9 pointer that would have been an 10 but it broke off. The next day after shooting him, I saw the HUGE 8 pointer that did the damage. Long story but yes it's worth it.
