Looking at a 1-8 scope, specifically the bushnell ar optics and the athlon. One is made in Korea and the other in China. Anyone have experience or any other recommendations that are not $500+?

My favorite for the price is Primary Arms. I have 3 of them. They are similar to SWFA in that they design their own optics and sell their own branded version. They have some of the best designed reticles in my opinion.

Thanks for the recommendation. That’s the one thing I didn’t care for on the athlon the reticle is a little too busy for a 1-8

I have 3 of their scopes as well.

They just flat work!

Good scope but has its drawbacks....1 - cannot zero turret 2 - 1/2 moa turrets

Otherwise it’s a tough scope to beat for the money.

Look at the 1x6 Bushnell elite tactical on clearance at eurooptic. Not quite an 8x and $600 but it should be a Japanese made scope. The 1x8 is 1000 more
