Woke up to sleet and ice at the ranch; saying we may get up to 5" of snow. We are poorly prepared for a snow in, running low on provisions for NYE. It finally quit in Ft Stockton. Only (knock on wood) had two ambulance calls today. Grand total (at the station) of about 8" of the wet, heavy stuff. The roads are going to be an even bigger nightmare later tonight when everything re-freezes. I-10 has been a major traffic jam from Valentine to about mm 305 east of Ft. Stockton. Be safe.
