Anyone offering hunts for either Chamois or Thar? Since these are Alpine animals not sure how adaptable to Texas they would be.

I remember a few years ago one of the Exotic Ranch’s was offering Tahr hunts. As I recall it would have been cheaper to go to New Zealand.

I remember a few years ago one of the Exotic Ranch’s was offering Tahr hunts. As I recall it would have been cheaper to go to New Zealand. Did a little search and found one post from 2018 with Tahr listed https://texashuntingforum.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/ubb/showflat/Number/7161125

Not sure anybody has chamois but tahr are available in texas. 777 ranch squaw mountain and texas hunt lodge are possibilities

I have some amazing tahr here in Texas believe it or not they have wonderful coats as well. We’ve also shot a few chamois here in Texas as well.
