Was very surprised this morning. I went to fill a doe tag on the Sam Houston wma before season closes. About 7 am I heard it. That all mighty Mr Bob white call at first I thought someone else was in the woods as well. But then another came from behind me. Then another one. Wasnt long and the first bird I heard was closing in on them. When they crossed the trail in front of me he had about 10 more with him. Those are the first quail I have seen in that area since I was a kid. May not have filled that tag today but seeing them and listening to those beautiful sounds sure made the drive down there for me worth it
