Folks he has got the birds.... covered up is putting it mildly. Flock after flock of 20-30 birds from 3:30 - 5 pm Wind was blowing 30 mph, birds flying like Kamikazes, juking and jiving like crazy. John was sitting with me right there at the end and one dove was flying straight at me and I was waiting for him to break right of left... he didn't flew straight over me and as John said he ate my lunch. I shot about a box and a half of shells and only had 12 birds to show for it. But Brother only got 6 and shot a box. He took the good natured ribbing John and I gave him and said he had a heck of a time today. He killed a doe this morning on his lease and then dove hunted the day after Christmas in 70 degree weather.

The most fun hunt I have had since the last time I hunted with him. When he says he's got birds it is "Little Argentina" time. I laughed and laughed at myself missing so many layup shots. I should have had a limit in 45 minutes but I wouldn't change a thing. Got to hunt with my brother on a good friend's place. Don't get no better than that.

Well, unfortunately for jetdad and his son it looks like a lot of the birds have moved on with this front this morning. This close to the end of season and with rain coming, I will not be selling any dove hunts this week.

I’m about 30 miles north of you Stompy and was covered up with dove last night and this morning. Unfortunately I was deer hunting.

The field we were hunting this weekend is thin, but I noticed one of my other fields had a lot this morning. I guess a little pressure moved them.

Jetdad, ya missed it by one day, sorry buddy. That field on the north side of my driveway is LOADED this afternoon. There's a whole lot more on the ground.

That's where it looked like they were headed. I think that wind shift from south to out of the north may have them getting ready to be on the move. We'll tear 'em up in September. Thanks again for letting us come out.
