The wife and I went to our property to relax and do some hunting. She decided she was ready to take a doe this season so we decided on an evening hunt. My wife only hunts with the 6.8 Stag 7H rifle I bought her 8 years ago. She is deadly accurate with it loaded with 120 SST ammo.
Before the feeder went off we were lucky enough for turkey to show up. She dropped the largest of the group at 130 yards. As a good husband I ran to the feeder to recover it before the feeder off. 10 minutes later the feeder did go off and deer started showing up. We had a nice fat doe show up at 75 yards and she made a great shot. It ran 25 yards and dropped. Blood everywhere! The Hornady 120 SST ammo really works well.
I can’t believe we were fortunate enough to get a turkey and a nice doe in a hunt that really took about 30 minutes. It really was a great time with my wife!
