Without a deer lease this year, we have concentrated on the ducks a little more than the past couple years. We have split time between our new camp in NE Louisiana and public ground around home. Season has been good to us and just when we figured out a few things, I tested positive for the COVID. Hopefully I will get over it soon so I can take my soon to be 15yo on a trip for his birthday. His birthday is New Year's Eve and we typically make a road trip.

Anyway, most of our hunts have been good with a couple really good ones thrown in! Our Louisiana trips hunts have been over rice fields shooting mixed bags of ducks and Specs. The other special thing about these hunts is my dad, me and my sons have hunted together! Nothing like 3 generations in the blind!

Our hunts around home have been pretty good as well! Some mixed bag hunts with good friends and some good Mallards shoots as well!

Good job all around, getting the kido's out, and putting the smack down on the greenheads. The time with the kido's will be your best times ever, enjoy!

Good stuff bud. That 15 year old is already a more polished waterfowler than most guys doing it much longer than he has. And the youngin is a flat out hoot to have in the blind. I think you might be missing a few teal hunts in your pics... not sure 😬 A 4 man in 25 minutes is pretty darn memorable. Get well soon so you can get those boys back out there! 👍🏻

The 15yo has spent a lot of time in the blind and surrounded with a bunch of good folks, like you and your boys. It sure is fun watching them grow up and start to figure it out on their own.

For some reason I don't have a pic of that teal hunt! Might've forgotten to get one. If you have one, send it to me.

I'm better now and getting ready to head out again. With this rain and front, no telling where we may end up. Good luck to everyone heading out this weekend.
