Any other Land Cruiser owners out there using them for hunting? Once a pretty common sight in South Texas ranches but as the price of older "classic" Land Cruisers has skyrocketed, most have been sold off. Here's my 1999 100 series Land Cruiser, called "the 'Melon" (for Watermelon, she used to be green...I kept the name and tell people it's for cantaloupe now). 230K+ miles, original drivetrain, modified suspension, bumpers, etc. A couple of years ago I bought another stock 1999 (kinda of a city mouse, country mouse deal) that I now use as a daily driver, leaving this one exclusively for hunting & four-wheeling.

Sweet ride, I’ve seen a few around town and you are right about the price on them now. Like most of the older SUVs they hold their value.

I love the steelies, we ran those on our 80-Series. I have owned almost every series since the 40, except for the 100. I doubt you'll see many LC hunting rigs these days because as you've already noted, they are highly sought after in the off-road and overland scene.

Would if I could but can't.

I have an 80 series. Runs great and wouldn’t hesitate to drive across country tomorrow. I daily drove it for a while but now it’s just a fun vehicle. Wanted a 200 but couldn’t justify the price so got a sequoia instead. My only major mod is a Dobinson front bumper. [Linked Image]

Nothing quite that extreme, lol. New bumpers, skid plates, a lift and some bigger tires. I wouldn't want to mess with much more than that, the rest is pretty good already.

Nice LC. I have a 5th gen runner with bumpers, lift, skids, rack, and all the other things that go along with that.

I've got an LX470 and an 80 Series. LX470 (100 series) is just a 'pimped out Land Cruiser' for those that don't know.

You a 'MUD' member per chance?

Dig the 'steelies' and skinny tires. Like the paint color too. Single Stage paint?

Ya'll's are to new.

I have a 1974 Land Cruiser with Warn Hubs and Warn winch. Everything on it works except the back up lights and no rust.

Actual mileage is 16,637.

Got it out of the garage last weekend and put 3 miles on it..

Often wonder what it is worth.

Low mileage FJ40's in good condition bring top dollar right now. You happen to have a Warn 8274 on it....all the better. Compare to some of the ones that have sold on BAT and you might be surprised what it is worth. Same thing for Early Model Bronco's.

Love to see a pic of it here.
