Two years ago, I bought a 1997 Ford Ranger with 230,000+ miles on it for the same purposes that you mentioned. All I've done to it is put new tires, I tuned it up, and put new headlights this season. It's a 3.0 6 cylinder and standard tranny. So far, it's been awesome. I added some high seats in the bed, and it gets the job done. My ranch is 100 miles from home, so it's not a short ride. I'm going to drive it until it dies. lol I paid $2,000.

If you want some friendly advice, get a haircut and take a bath. You wouldn't get hassled so much.

Wonder what Maaco would charge for a drab green paint job?

1 box of green or tan flat camo paint would do the job. Just hit with a scotch rite pad first.

Im curious how many deer come in bow range of the pickup?

I have an uncle that doesn't get around well and cant climb ladders so he hunts out of a truck when he comes down to our place. I can say hunting out of the truck surely seems to reduce the number of deer seen.

It doesn’t work on an open sendero. It has to be hidden very well. I mainly is the high seats for quail hunting.
