I have a friend in Wisconsin who has a large permanent stand. He hangs his son's stinky sneakers from it. He also leaves a radio playing 24/7/365 on talk radio, says deer come in to listen to Rush. I have not hunted there but was visiting in summer and deer were bedded during afternoon in the shade under stand.

Don’t know about sweaty tee shirt. But my wife makes me spray her stand with insestide for spiders, before she will get in it. At first I was worried about the smell. 6 years later we are still spraying it once every two weeks. Deer and hogs never missed a lick. And hunting here in south east Texas she uses a battery operated fan that makes way to much noise. But it doesn’t bother deer either. They have two trails about 25 yards on each side of her.
