Selling a Green Mountain 19" SS Heavy Taper barrel for a Ruger 10/22. New, still in wrapper and box from Green Mountain. Lists at $160 on their website. Asking $130 shipped or meetup around Houston.

Also have 2 or 3 factory 10/22 barrels that I'll sell cheap if buyer covers shipping.

Is this a direct replacement? Take the factory barrel off and replace? Why don't you want to use it? I know my son has been looking at them so I may be interested.

Pretty much. Its .920 at the receiver and then tapers down. So if you currently have a .920 barrel then you are good to go. If you currently have a factory ruger with the pencil barrel, you'll need to sand the barrel channel down on the stock to allow this barrel to float.

I have the same barrel on one of my builds. Its an absolute tack driver, but the LOP on that one is too long for my kids to comfortably to shoot, and that rifle is too heavy for them to shoot offhand. So I'm building a lightweight rifle with adjustable LOP for the kids (or at least that's what I tell my wife).

He has a Magpull Hunter X-22 stock that I think has a couple of shims for standard taper or bull barrel. Would that work?
