A friend of mine I hunt with in West Texas got this pic on his trail cam while we were hunting mule deer in the Trans Pecos area. I have my thoughts on what it is and something that I have never seen in person. Sorry about the poor quality but his original he texted me will not read when I try to email it to my desk top..so I took a screen shot of it and emailed it. ![[Linked Image]](https://texashuntingforum.com/forum/pics/userpics/2020/12/full-21480-269815-west_texas.jpg)

Turtle drinking out of a water trough.
Quail hunting is like walking into, and out of a beautiful painting all day long. Gene Hill

High fence, low fence, no fence, it really doesn't matter as long as you're hunting!

STx, welcome back. I hope your hunting has been good. I know you will get around to posting pics when you can. You have missed out on some good threads. I cant help with a guess on the critter.
Keep your gratitude higher than your expectations. RWH

Probably a yote, but I have seen a Coati twice just SE of Snyder, so there are a few around. The one(s) I saw were darker, but had a head shaped like that.
Silver spurs and gold tequila keep me hanging on. Pretty girls and old cantinas give me shelter from the storm.
