Hello,

My name is Kevin Karl and I am the Veterans Director at Southern Outdoor Dreams. SOD is a non-profit that specializes in taking disabled veterans and kids hunting and fishing. We operate just south of Houston, Texas.

I am hoping to make some contacts here that I can bounce some questions off of.

We have some adaptive shooting equipment but i am always trying to stay ahead of the curve. What gear do you use that makes it easier for disabled hunters?

I’m a disabled Veteran looking for information on a 1-2 day hog hunt next week March 21-25. I have 2 sons (18)&(13) that I want to include in the trip. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I am a 100% disabled Vietnam veteran. I had an organization called Rods For Soldiers for 11 years. I built custom fishing rods and gave them to combat veterans and also took them on fishing trips. I am too old to continue doing this. I would like to go on a hunt if you ever have an opening. I can't do a spot and stalk but I can sit in a blind. Prefer most anything but a hog hunt. I will be happy to build a donation rod if you have auction fund raisers. I will build 2 or 3 every year.
Thanks

If you do fishing trips I may have a hook-up for a lodge in the Seadrift/port Lavaca area.

Hello, I’m Alan and I have never been hunting. I live in Houston Texas. Ive been out of the army for 5 years With 60 percent disability. Im getting stir crazy in my house and my boat motor went out so I can’t fish anymore. I was looking for a mentor for hunting. I missed deer season but I’m open to hunt anything I just want to get the stalking and processing meat methods down. Gear wise I purchased a bunch of cheap stuff to get me by I just need to learn to hunt now. Ive been to Sam Houston National Forest looking for hogs with no luck.
