We got up this morning in the rain and decided to hunt together in one of our nicer blinds (no leaks) due to the weather. We were looking for an old buck for her to take when a couple turkeys showed up. She decided she wanted to take one as she had never shot one before. She made a perfect shot with her 6.8 SPC AR at the base of the neck. Very little damage to the meat. Turkey nuggets for the girls and everyone is happy!

Very nice! In the past I've found wild turkeys to be fairly tough, so I stir fried the diced breast. How did you cook yours?

We dice it up, batter it up and fry in a skillet for a few minutes. My family loves it! They think it is the best wild game meal.

Let the meat rest in ice water, trim off any and all silver. slice it thin against the grain. Tenderize it with whatever you've got if it's still too tough for your liking.
