Not sure on a crossbow, but I was charged $150 for a complete set of strings and cables on my Hoyt.

A lot depends on the strings and shop. String and cables you can order for 70 to 100 dollars, then it is up to the shop charge to change them out. I would get a new cable slide as well and Tenpoint for factory strings is not bad priced and pretty good string/cable set. It does not take long to change them out and have in time 30 minutes is more than enough, really can be done in about 10 minutes.

If you cannot get it done for less than 150 I would be very surprised. I have changed a lot of them out for much less.

Do you have a bow press? The strings and cables are $60. If you have even a portable press you can do it yourself. The portable bow press and strings would be less than $150 all together and then you still have the press for next time.
