They look so short! Angus or Angus-cross? almost full angus small at birth by design with the bull I use. Most only weigh about 60-65 when born and the oldest one here is less than 3 weeks old and may be 80-90 now. They will catch up fast and I've always said I'd rather have a small calf then a dead one....or worse a dead momma cow. I cannot be there to watch them all the time when they are calving so that is why I use a low birth weight bull on my cows. Plus, my cows are all pretty small (biggest may be 1100). A 1k lb cow eats a hell of a lot less than a 1600 lb cow does!
